Local Area Information

Y Beudy is located in the Berwyn mountains, just outside Eryri (Snowdonia), with walking, mountain biking and road cycling opportunities on the doorstep.

There are a wide range of water sports nearby in Bala (20 mins drive), including wild swimming and paddle boarding on Llyn Tegid (Bala lake), and kayaking and rafting on the Afon Tryweryn at the National Whitewater Centre.

Other places in Eryri (Snowdonia) are also just a short drive away, including Betws-y-Coed, Llanberis, and the various Zipworld attractions.

The stunning beaches and popular seaside resorts on the west coast, such as Barmouth and Harlech, are just over an hour away - perfect for day trips with amazing scenery along the way.

Llandrillo village, 3 miles down the valley from Y Beudy, has two restaurants and a well-stocked village shop and post office (village pub is currently closed). Bala, Corwen, Llangollen and Ruthin are 20-35 mins drive and offer a good selection of shops, cafes and pubs.

Guidebook & tourist information

We’ve started putting together suggestions and recommendations for guests in an AirBnB guidebook. There’s also lots of leaflets about local sights and activities in the property for guests to look through.
