Guestbook

It was lovely remote peaceful place, Katie was a perfect host.
The scenery and surrounding area cannot be matched it is gorgeous.

Mathew,

Y Beudy was a brilliant find. Katie has thought of everything, attention to detail 10/10. A lovely cosy home, peaceful and surrounded by nature. You could hear the babbling brook at the bottom of the garden The garden is secluded and secure for dogs. There was a stairgate to help us manage the whereabouts of the dogs when we came back from our walks. We both work for ourselves and were able to work remotely with ease, the wifi and telephone signals were not an issue whatsoever. If you are looking for a holiday to get away from the the hustle and bustle this is the a fabulous holiday home and destination for Zen time........ and wonderful walking destinations. We would highly recommend. Thank you Katie.

Crystal,

Just returned from an amazing long weekend at Y Beudy. The property is amazing - so cosy, exceptionally clean and very private. The garden is secure and dog friendly. The whole house is done perfectly, and equipped with everything you could possibly need. Retractable baby gates at the top and bottom of the stairs show how much thought has gone into every detail, for all guests.
Katie is a brilliant host. She gave us a tour of the property when we arrived and gave us so much information. She replies to messages instantly and took the time to send lots of recommendations including links and maps.
Can’t wait to return, and stay for longer!

Charlotte,

Katie's Cottage was a perfect stay! So cosy and charming, it felt like a home away from home. We absolutely loved the warm atmosphere and the beautiful garden, and Katie was a fantastic host—always helpful and provided lots of useful tips. We highly recommend this place. We will definitely be back thank you!

Gila,

Wie had a wonderful stay in Katie's house! It is a spacious old farmhouse renovated with a great love to detail. Everything was taken care of the hosts.
Being situated in a secluded valley it is a perfect place to take a rest from a hectic life. We enjoyed being there as much as going on trips all around Wales.
Thank you very much for providing a true holiday home where I would have liked to stay longer than a week!

Verena,

Just back from a fantastic weeks stay at Y Beudy. The property is perfectly presented by Katie, spotlessly clean, as described and more. The kitchen has everything you need and for your stay. There was lovely soft linen in the bedrooms and bathrooms and the beds were very comfy. The garden is very secure if you take your dog, ours spent her time watching the sheep in the field next door! The location is very peaceful, with a lovely little stream running down the side of the property. A very tranquil beautiful spot to enjoy. Katie was a great host, nothing was too much trouble and she had lots of recommendations if you needed any. All in all I great property that we would highly recommended and definitely go back to another time.

Simone,

We had a lovely stay in Y Beudy. Katie provided a friendly welcome and met us on arrival and provided a thorough tour of the property plus recommendations when we asked for them.
We found the property to be very comfortable and cosy. Katie has thought of everything and it is well equipped and immaculately clean. The location is beautiful and we loved the relaxing sound of the stream. A really peaceful place to stay.
We had a great week exploring the area including Harlech Castle, Llangollen Canal, Pistyll Rhaeadr and Snowdon. A highlight was swimming in a secluded waterfall and hiring a boat on Llyn Brenig
We had some tasty meals out too, especially breakfast at Harlech Castle and Sunday Lunch at Tyddyn Llan, Llandrillo. We cannot recommend Katie and her property highly enough. Thank you for such a memorable stay

Louise,

Great stay in a lovely barn conversion. The house was beautiful, immaculate and very well equipped with everything you could need (including the offer of dog bowls and equipment which was much appreciated). The location is incredible - nestled in a valley with a small river running past the cottage garden. There are good walking trails nearby and Bala is a short drive for supplies and water sports on the lake.

Andrew,

We had a fantastic few days at Katie’s cottage. It’s in a beautiful location. The property is lovely and the garden is great to sit out. It’s well secured so we didn’t have to worry about our dog. Katie was very welcoming and helpful.

Sarah,

Y Beudy was the perfect place to stay for our Easter getaway to North Wales. The space was cosy and yet generous, nestled in amongst idyllic rural countryside. It was absolutely spotless: one of the cleanest places we have ever stayed. Very well equipped, and Katie was an impeccable host, going above and beyond in providing us with detailed information about the cottage, check-in process and things to do.

It was a perfect base to explore North Wales and our only regret was that we weren't there for longer given how much there is to do. We hiked incredible mountains in Eryri national park, cycled along the stunning Mawddach trail down to Barmouth, had a delicious sunday lunch in George III pub on route (possibly Wales' best pub), and headed to Lake Vrynwy hotel for a much needed spa session after all of the activity. Y Beudy was the perfect location to do all of these things and an ideal retreat at the end of the day. Thank you Katie and family!

Tom & Sarah,

Fabulous stay at this stunning property. The house was very clean and well presented, there was plenty of room in the property & you would be hard pushed to find anything to fault. We were a group of 3 & a small dog & we genuinely fell in love with the property. Katie left us to our own devices after fetching us a pint of milk. There was tea, coffee, sugar, welshcakes, fruit loaf & milk so we could relax as soon as we arrived. The beds were comfortable & so we're the sofas. There was a lovely garden at the rear & we hardly saw Katie or her husband even though they were over the yard. We went to escape the fireworks as our dog is not a fan & this place is a true rural retreat. If you want peace & quiet in a stunning valley then this is the perfect place.

Sally,

We had an absolutely brilliant stay at Katie’s place. We had a dog and a toddler and the house was so convenient for both of them as it had a large garden for both of them to run around and Katie had everything required for the baby including high chair, nappy changing mat and collapsible baby crib. The house was in the middle of greenery and lot of farmland and made Wales look so beautiful than the regular touristy spots. Katie also provided great recommendations and was always available for any questions we had. Overall our one week went by too quick and we enjoyed every minute of our stay in Wales. Thanks Katie for little welcome cakes and milk and being considerate about everything a family needs.

Archana,

Fantastic stay in a stunning location.
The cottage was spotless and had everything that we could need and more provided. Loved the games in the living room.
Very peaceful setting. Great river at the bottom of the garden.
Katie was super friendly and had great recommendations.
A wonderful stay, could not ask for more.

Steph,

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely cosy converted barn. It’s was immaculately clean and had everything we needed to make our holiday enjoyable. Katie Thad thought of all the little extra things you might need for your stay including a lovely welcome pack. We will definitely stay here again.

Elsa,

Beautiful countryside location and Katie and her family made us very welcome on arrival. The accommodation is stunning and feels very private, but handy to know the hosts are nearby if needed. Great walks from the property so no need to drive anywhere unless you want to explore the wider area. Ideal place for cyclists. Would recommend a trip to Llyn Brenig to see the ospreys if visiting at the right time of year, though also has fishing and water sports there and a lovely cafe overlooking the reservoir. Definitely plan to return for another relaxing break!

Jackie,

As a family we absolutely loved staying in ‘Y Beudy’ and would totally recommend for anyone looking for a beautiful rural valley, but still accessible to tourist spots of Snowdonia. The barn is decked out to a very high spec and has everything one needs, especially for a young family with a dog. The private garden is tranquil watching the sheep and cows in the surrounding fields. The location is a total escape, with stunning views and fabulous walks on the doorstep. The hosts couldn't be more welcoming and close by if you need anything. Thank you for a great stay and we look forward to returning.

Jess,

We had a wonderful week in North Wales. Would recommend Bounce Below for guests with young children (especially if it’s raining) and Betws-y-Coed for visiting Swallow Falls, pub lunch and a lovely walk. Y Beudy was a great base for our first trip to the area and our children loved seeing the wildlife and farm animals on local walks.

Natalie,

Brilliant place to stay. Clean and we-presented accommodation with everything we needed. Beautiful surroundings and lots of great day trips a short drive away. Hope to visit again.
